On July 20, 1962 twenty-one Kappa Brothers living in El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico sent forth to the Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Grand Chapter the documentation required to create a new Alumni Chapter which would be know as the Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc., El Paso – Las Cruces Alumni Chapter.  The Charter for this Alumni Chapter was finally approved and granted on 13 October 1962.

 

Twenty of those Charter Brothers carried a life membership card with the Grand Chapter.
